HERE'S HOW IT WORKS

We love seeing ATHLETESIA out in the world, and we want to share it. Before we do, there are a few things we need from you, so that you can be featured in a way that stays true to the brand. The most important one first.

No filters. No editing.

This applies to everything. Stories, feed posts, reels, collaboration content, all of it.

One of the reasons why ATHLETESIA exists is because the industry has spent decades telling women their bodies need fixing. Filters do exactly that, quietly. Smoothing, shrinking, reshaping. It goes against everything we stand for, so it makes zero sense for us to share it.

That means:

  • No face filters or beauty filters.
  • No body-altering or reshaping tools.
  • No skin smoothing.
  • No AI enhancement or AI-generated imagery.
  • No editing apps.

To be super clear, this is about not adding anything on top of the photo or video. Shoot it, and share it as it was captured. If a phone or app offers to smooth, retouch, enhance or apply an effect, the answer is no.

Good light, a clean lens, and you. That's the whole brief. Natural light is great, but if you prefer to use professional lighting, all good.

If we spot a filter, we won't share it as it just isn't what ATHLETESIA stands for.

Instagram Stories

Stories are the relaxed version. Tag us and as long as the above has been adhered to, we will share it to our audience!

  • Selfies are welcome.
  • Unboxing your delivery, sharing your order, trying pieces on for the first time, or giving us your honest review, we love all of it.
  • Wear ATHLETESIA with whatever plain, unbranded pieces you already own. For example, our stye me adjustable tank with plain black leggings.
  • Jackets, coats, bags and accessories are all fine.
  • Other brands' logos, wordmarks or recognisable branding must not be visible.
  • No filters (see above).
  • Tag @weareathletesia so that we can find it in our notifications.

Collaboration feed posts

A collaboration post sits on our feed as well as yours, so the bar is higher. This is a brand feature, not a personal one.

What you're wearing

  • ATHLETESIA head to toe. No other brands' clothing in the shot.
  • Footwear is entirely your choice. Trainers, barefoot, heels, socks (we have them too), whatever feels right.
  • A coat or jacket over the top is fine, as are bags and accessories, as long as no other brand's logo or branding is visible.

How it's shot

  • No selfies. Use a tripod or have someone take the photo for you.
  • Clean, clear background. Nothing cluttered, nothing distracting.
  • Wipe your camera lens before you shoot so that the image is crisp.
  • Good light. Natural light is great, but if you prefer to use professional lighting, all good.
  • No filters, no editing.

The post itself

  • A single image works best.
  • If you want to post a carousel, every photo in it needs to be ATHLETESIA that tells a story, with you wearing the brand. No unrelated images mixed in.
  • No text on the images. No overlays, captions, quotes or graphics on the photo itself. Just a photo(s).
  • Your caption should be relevant to and focused on the brand.
  • This isn't a space to promote your own business, services or offers. The post is about the brand and you in it.

Collaboration reels

Everything above applies, plus:

  • Anyone who may be in the background, needs to have given their consent to be in it and to have it shared on our feed. Please check before you film, not after. However, the ideal scenario is no one is in the background and it's just you.
  • No filters or effects that alter your face or body.
  • No text on the reel. No overlays, captions or graphics on the footage.
  • Your caption should be relevant to and focused on the brand.
  • Unrelated content, promotions or offers can't be included.

Before you post, a quick check

  • Filters off.
  • Lens clean.
  • Background clear.
  • ATHLETESIA head to toe (collaborations).
  • No text on the photo(s) or reel (collaborations).
  • No other brand logos visible.
  • Everyone in the shot has said yes.
  • Send @weareathletesia an invite to collaborate if that's the purpose. If we decline, we will send you a DM explaining why.
